In the game of love, it’s all about who DMs first. Now if you’re a baller, or at least trying to come off as one, you put your feelings out there in the open. No need to slip into the DMs, a simple tweet will do. At least that’s how it is for some people on Twitter.
On June 4, what we thought was some mindless flirting by two public figures is turning out to be a lot more than we anticipated.
It looks like Rob Kardashian’s tweet to singer Natti Natasha worked.
That shameless gawk tweet that he tweeted at the Dominican artist in which he basically put it all out there actually got a response from her, even though fans were clearly trying to prevent that from happening.
On Sunday, Natti wished the only male Kardashian a Happy Father’s Day and implied that she knows him a lot better than any of us assumed.
We’re not doubting his parenting skills at all, but we are doubting this unabashedly understanding between these two people. Are they really that tight?
But wait, the convo got way more heated.
Kardashian then tweeted, “see u soon.”
We’re about to start cursing in Spanish.
People on social media tried to stop these two from starting anything last week, and now it’s intervention time.
People are begging at this point.
Run, Natti, run!
There’s no running away on social media, only blocking.
Some are seriously entertained by what’s going on.
We are too, to be honest.
Listen to reason.
Where will this relationship go?
To be fair, Rob may be a cool guy. He may be the best boyfriend ever. But the Kardashians just don’t have the best track record when it comes to relationships.
Now big sis Khloe is getting involved.
Khloe, if you don’t know who Natti is please leave the room.
Dear Natti, if you’re looking for a hookup and more exposure in the tabloids then, by all means, keep doing you. You are playing this one right. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
J.Lo has a long history of supporting the LGBTQ+ community, and she’s not slowing down any time soon. Just last week, the Puerto Rican superstar took the time to lend her support to 18-year-old gay-identified Nat Werth. She heard that Werth was silenced from speaking on his experience as a gay teenager and denied his right to give a valedictorian speech. Lopez was shocked.
Werth worked hard to graduate from Sheboygan Lutheran High School at the very top of his class. While he didn’t give the speech he was entitled to, his courage has certainly sparked several opportunities to empower the LGBTQ+ community since then.

She invited Werth to the Milwaukee concert and arranged to meet with him backstage. She wanted to make sure that he felt some support for being out, open, and courageous enough to share in a vulnerable place.
The fact that Werth even wanted to open up about a painful, personal experience to an audience that is likely unreceptive is courageous.

Werth decided to take the staged opportunity to talk about his experience of being gay at the Christian school and to offer his understanding of the Biblical passages that are often used by homophobes to condemn homosexuality.
The school refused to let him give the speech.

He let them know that he was willing to cut the parts they didn’t like, knowing it was a controversial move on his part, but one worth taking. The school ultimately told him that, given his “track record,” they couldn’t trust him to stick to the script. Let us remind you his track record landed him a valedictorian title.
The salutatorian gave the speech instead, but Werth was honored with an even bigger stage.

PrideFest Milwaukee honored him with its 2019 Valor Award and gave him an opportunity to finally deliver that speech. He started by telling the crowd, “I came out to my family on my 18th birthday. I knew that being forced out of my home was a very real possibility. I knew that my parents did not approve of gay people but I also knew they needed to know the truth in order to overcome their prejudice.”
“At church, I was taught that there was something wrong with me and that I had to change in order for God to accept me,” he told a [now, sobbing] crowd.
“I took it upon myself to examine the six passages in the Bible that talk about homosexuality. It quickly became clear that God, in fact, does not hate gay people,” he announced to a round of applause. Werth laughed off an “Amen,” in response.
Werth is also meeting with the Department of Public Instruction to correct Lutheran High’s discrimination towards its LGBT students.

Since the time of Werth’s graduation and his speech at PrideFest, he’s been getting to work on some policy changes. He informed the crowd that, “the Wisconsin School Choice Program allocates vouchers to students who qualify for financial aid in private institutions. Sheboygan Lutheran participates in this program. It is important to know that School Choice requires participating schools to follow certain guidelines, which include nondiscrimination, the option to take religion classes and the opportunity for students to speak with the board of directors if they would like, all of which Lutheran does not do.”
“No child should be taught by their school that they have to hate themselves to love themselves,” Werth concluded.

We know that J.Lo–a GLAAD Vanguard Award recipient, is in absolute agreement. Werth had to endure his own school teaching him that the essence of what allows him to love is wrong. The “Free Mom Hugs” signs at Pride make us all weep, but seeing this mami taking the time to give this wronged young man a hug is breaking our hearts into a million pieces and glueing it all back together. ❤️
J.Lo also made sure to tweet out her support for both Werth, and the entire gay community.

J.Lo is “always standing with” Werth, and what a beautiful way to graduate high school. Werth himself said that meeting J.Lo was “absolutely an amazing experience he will never forget,” Today anchor Carson Daly reported.
While the country may be celebrating Pride Month, that does not mean haters and homophobes have gone into hiding. We’re seeing a surge of hate crimes against the gay and trans community, some of them as severe as resulting in death. The latest incident comes out of Texas.
A bride-to-be was planning to hire Kristian Cardenas, a hair and makeup artist out of Lubbock, Texas, but when she found out she was gay, she unleashed hateful words.
Cardenas shared the appalling texts from a woman who was inquiring about hiring her for her wedding. In the now-viral tweet, the exchange between the two women seemed, at first, to be a typical conversation from a potential customer. Things turned for the worst when the woman pried about Cardenas’ sexuality.
The woman could not let it go that Cardenas was gay.
The woman texted: “I have a few questions I was wondering if you could answer?”
“Yes, ma’am,” the 22-year-old replied. ‘What are they?’
“Are you gay?” she asked.
“Yes, ma’am, I am,” Cardenas said. “I’m sorry but what does that have to do with your wedding or my services?”
That’s when the lady went off on her.
According to Gay Star News, Cardenas blocked the woman’s phone number after that last text. She also said that the woman’s comment utterly hurt her.
“I cried and was so mad,” she told the publication, and added, “I have very tough skin and feel like I can handle a lot, but when she told me to change who I am and then she’ll book me, I got upset. It’s so sad that someone had to be so rude to me, and they didn’t even know me.”
Instead of retailing against the woman, Cardenas said she shared the texts to show people to be kind to each other.
Someone on social media blamed Cardenas for sharing too much of her personal life on social media, saying “don’t get mad if people don’t like you for being different.”
She told them on Twitter, I” don’t like this. I am different, everyone is. No two people are the same. Openly sharing my life on my own social media shouldn’t be a bad thing. It’s not that I was offended for someone treating me “differently” it was that her remarks were unnecessary and hurtful.
The most amazing part of this terrible exchange, is that her story has a happy ending.
Fortunately, for every ill-intentioned person, there are hundreds reaching out to Kristian to offer support and kindness.
Kristian has said it has been hard to be accepted especially in Lubbock, Texas.
While this homophobic woman told Kristian she was sinning for being gay…
The lady made no sense whatsoever.
And she was harassed by this woman the entire time…
It’s as if she just wanted to piss her off. We hope she’s seeing the response she’s caused.
Kristian showed so much grace.
She held her composure.
And one thing is for sure, she’s going to get so much more business now.
Thanks, homophobic lady, because of you Cardenas is going to be rolling in clients.
