People will travel alongside with me through a surprising, unexpected and emotional journey that has shaped the artist and the person that I am today,” Luis Miguel said, according to Billboard.

Here’s why Boneta (or should I say Buenote) is the perfect choice to play Luis Miguel.

Umm… talk about similar smiles.

They both know a thing or two about slick hair…

What dapper dudes.

More importantly, this 26-year-old is a triple threat!

Boneta can actually sing! His breakthrough role was Rocco Bezauri on the Spanish telenovela “Rebelde.”

Boneta’s singing skills helped him snag a role on “Rebelde,” and he eventually transitioned into becoming a bonafide pop singer.

Here’s a music video from Boneta’s debut album.

Boneta has released two albums so far: his debut “Diego” and “Indigo.” He could have just been a singer for the rest of his life, but you cannot put this kind of talent into a box. You have to let it roam free.

Boneta also has major crossover appeal. Remember him as Javier Luna on “90210”?

That was probably not the best clip, considering he gets killed. However, it does show he has a dramatic flare. Don’t believe us??

Boneta doesn’t just look good on the small screen. He can carry a feature film!

He was the main love interest in the 2012 musical “Rock of Ages.” Looks like Boneta can do it all!

So, what’s left to say… you ready, Diego?

Old video format – The Beloved Series ‘One Day At A Time,’ That Netflix Tried And Failed To Cancel Is Officially Coming Out in 2020

Earlier this year, when news that Netflix had canceled the critically acclaimed show “One Day at a Time” hit Twitter, many were feared the entire site would be burned down. News that the beloved comedy-drama, which followed the life of a Cuban American family, had officially been canceled spurned various criticisms of Netflix and backlash from the show’s fanbase. Netflix users decried the decision accusing the site of giving POC viewers low priority and nearly no visibility through its shows. Some canceled their Netflix accounts altogether and even started hashtags to do the same. To say the least, fans were devastated.

So when the TV channel PopTV announced that fans had convinced them enough to save the series and buy it for their own, Latino viewers were beyond elated.

This week it became officially official that the Alvarez family is truly returning.

According to a recent image, shared straight from the “One Day At A Time’s” writer’s room, creators of the series are already tapping out the new season’s scripts. On Monday, ODAAT’s series producer Mike Royce posted an image of the series’ sign at their new offices on Twitter. In his post, he revealed that the writers would start working on the show this past Wednesday.

If it’s three other earlier seasons can be any indication, ODAAT’s 4th season will undoubtedly be a major hit.

Since its 2017 debut, the series starring EGOT winner Rita Moreno and actress Justina Machado has garnered copious amounts of praise from fans and critics for its portrayal of Latix culture in today’s Post-Trump world. For its work in portraying the trials and tribulations of its diverse LGBTQ+  and Latin American characters. The series has also tackled political issues related to Trump-inspired racist attacks and slurs as well as the portrayal of mental health in the military community.

When news that PopTV had saved the beloved series, nearly everyone was elated.

No doubt, decisions to buy the show had been motivated by petitions and hashtags to #SaveODAAT. Various Latino names in the entertainment industry began to tweet about the series in support. This included Broadway star and Hamilton hitmaker Lin-Manuel Miranda who posted a series of tweets to his Twitter account to #SaveODAAT as well.

When it was finally announced that the series had been saved by Pop TV the outlet’s president, Brad Schwartz, released a statement saying “How amazing it is to be involved with this brilliant and culturally significant series that deals with important themes one minute while making you laugh the next. We couldn’t be more proud to continue telling heartwarming stories of love, inclusion, acceptance, and diversity that pull on your emotions while putting a smile on your face.”

Needless to say, as pleased as fans are for the new series and its renewal, they really can’t wait.

I mean basically, at this point it is kind of a tragedy that we have to wait.

But everyone is still pumped.

And for real ready for production and streaming to begin.

Because this show is a gift beyond gifts.

With so much representation, there’s literally a character for everyone to feel seen.

One user in the comments section of Mike Royce’s thread pointed out that the show isn’t just for those who are Latino.”I showed my Cuban spouse the episode not yet yesterday and we were all bawling on the couch frequently pausing for them to talk about how their Mami would also say try again tomorrow and how every time they were in hospital the entire family showed up,” user @danielzklein said. “I’m just saying this show is a god damned gift to the world. How is it so good and so heartfelt and so brave to go to dark places without the copout of a joke at the most intense moment and how is it still so laugh out loud funny the rest of the time.”

And more importantly, this series is a savior in so many ways.

And not only are we beyond excited that the series means more representation on screen. It also means the Rita Moreno remains employed and on our screens.

Yes to ODAAT and the power of its fans!

The Internet Has Some Serious Questions After La Chilindrina Reveals She Was Luis Miguel’s First Love

La Chilindrina, whose real name is María Antonieta de las Nieves went on a Peruvian TV show called El Valor De La Verdad and revealed that she had dated El Sol de Mexico, aka Luis Miguel aka Luismi, back in the day during the 1980s.

During a recent talk show appearance, La Chilindra shared a photo of her with a younger Luis Miguel and she declared that she was his “first love.”

The Chavo del Ocho actress let the world know that back in the day she went on a romantic getaway with Luis Miguel in Acapulco. Attached to a lie detector test, which is the premise of the TV show, La Chilindrina had to answer a couple questions about her life.

TV host Beto Ortiz asked La Chilindrina, “Did you escape from a hotel in Acapulco to enjoy some time with Luis Miguel on a yacht?”

As soon as he asked that, La Chilindrina looked a little nervous. She paused then wondered how paparazzi would have been able to find that out. But finally, she admitted to it.

La Chilindrina went on to say that Luis Miguel was flirting with her that day on the yacht, and asked, “Hey nena, do you know who I am?” After that interaction, she boarded the yacht and spent a romantic date with him. According to her, that date was enough for her to become Luis Miguel’s first love.

As more and more Spanish-language publications began to cover the news, Twitter also went nuts with the news but remained skeptical first and foremost.

According to the math, if this in fact did take place in the 1980s, Luis Miguel would have been a pre-teen and La Chilindrina would have been in her 30s since she’s about 20 years older than him. (This is a case for the FBI).

Some wondered whether La Chilindrina was being honest or if it was simply a PR stunt.

I mean, that could be plausible…

One Twitter user pointed out that it’s not true at all due to the differences in age between La Chilindrina and Luis Miguel.

“It’s just a lie from la Chilindrina, how was she going to have a romantic encounter with Luis Miguel when he was only 12 years old and she was 32 years old?,” the Twitter user wrote.

Others thought it was pointless of media outlets to pick up these “dumb” chismes that are simply “useless.”

Folks thought that media outlets should be focusing on literally anything else but old gossip.

Some Twitter users simply didn’t k know how to react other than shocked.

I mean, how could we not have known?!

In case you didn’t know, Luis Miguel has also been romantically linked to Mariah Carey.

According to Remezcla, the two singers dated between 1999 and 2001 but it’s hard to gauge specific details about their love life because Luis Miguel has always been a very private person. But according to a book by Marc Shapiro, the relationship between Mariah Carey and Luis Miguel began in 1998 when they met in Aspen.

Word on the steer is that they were also supposed to record a duet together at some point, but things just didn’t work out. However, they seemed to make a pretty good team because since they were both superstars, they had a good understanding of what the other was dealing with, being in the spotlight and all.

And well, this might sound similar to La Chilinfrina’s account of when they allegedly first had their first date but… Mariah Carey and Luis Miguel were also about that yacht life.

Trouble in paradise began when rumors surfaced that Luis Miguel was not having it after reading the tabloids about Mariah Carey and Eric Benét. It was alleged that she and her former co-star–who was actually dating Halle Berry at the time–were more than friends. Then, around 2001, rumor had it that Luis Miguel ended his relationship with Mariah Carey because she wanted to have kids and he didn’t.

If you need any more Luis Miguel content, be sure to watch the TV series based on his life on Netflix, starring our fave Diego Boneta.
